The Knowle (Jackfield)
Little more than a gravel track, the section from the Junction with Calcutts Road was a tramway in the last century.

Wynd Cottage - This section of road is known as the wynd, taking its name from the tramway incline which ran from here to the river Severn.   Wynd cottage (on the left) is said to have housed the engine which operated the incline.

Wynd cottage has undergone renovation and extension since the above picture was taken in 2000:
